Integration Circles
The end of a psychedelic event or a Sunstone clinical trial is not always the end of the experience.

The days, weeks, and months following psychedelic-assisted therapy often bring new perspectives, questions, and insights. Some people find that what emerged during treatment becomes clearer over time as they return to work, relationships, family, and everyday life. Others may continue to reflect on their experience long after the study has concluded.
This ongoing process is known as integration.
Integration Circles are therapist-facilitated group conversations that provide a supportive environment where former participants can reconnect, reflect, and learn alongside others who have shared the unique experience of participating in a psychedelic-assisted therapy study.
Each Circle is guided by experienced Sunstone therapists who help foster thoughtful discussion while maintaining a safe, respectful, and confidential environment. Rather than directing the conversation or offering prescribed interpretations, facilitators create space for participants to explore their own experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.
There is no “right” way to integrate an experience.
Some participants arrive with clear insights they would like to discuss. Others are still uncertain about what their experience meant or how it relates to their lives today. Many simply appreciate the opportunity to reconnect with people who understand this unique part of their journey.
Integration Circles are grounded in the same principles that shape care throughout the clinical trial experience at Sunstone: psychological safety, respect, curiosity, and compassionate, therapist-guided support. Participation is always voluntary, and individuals are welcome to attend when it feels meaningful for them.
While Integration Circles are not a continuation of clinical treatment or individual therapy, they reflect our belief that meaningful experiences often continue to unfold long after a study visit has ended. We recognize that people’s needs change over time, and that opportunities for reflection and connection can remain valuable well beyond the formal treatment protocol.
One of the defining features of Sunstone’s approach is our commitment to continuity of care. We believe that support should not end simply because a protocol has concluded. Integration Circles are one way we continue supporting participants by creating opportunities for thoughtful conversation, shared understanding, and ongoing connection within our alumni community.
